Taylor- SHS ’14

2014-06-10T19:13:12-04:00

Taylor took just a few minutes to warm up to the camera.  I knew she had the attitude- she was just a little timid at first (as are all the kids).  Our day started as a rain out- or major storm out, actually- but as you can see from these shots it turned out to be a beautiful day and my model became comfy with the camera and turned on the charm!  We had such a great time and her mom was a stitch too!  The “wows” and squeals of glee while they viewed pictures on the ipad were priceless!  Thanks for a great day ladies!!

Mallory SHS 2014

2014-06-10T19:13:37-04:00

I’ve known Mallory’s mom since college and it’s been wonderful photographing her family and their celebrations over the years.  I can’t believe that I’m shooting Mallory’s High School Senior Photos- She was JUST 13!  Mallory’s shoot was super fun and full of outfit choices- not to mention we had a couple of really cool cars to use as props- thanks to my good friends Mark and Beth for letting us barge in! It’s always fun to try new places and props and this was no exception- Mallory rocked the look!

Shaina the Gymnast :)

2014-06-10T19:13:59-04:00

Well this was an opportunity for me to try out some new looks with some new equipment and boy did we get the look! Thanks Shaina for helping to make it happen.  This was tons of fun mixing nature, city and gymnastics all together!

Hyla’s Senior Shoot on the most humid day in weeks!

2014-06-10T19:14:18-04:00

Well it looked gloomy and ugly out on my drive to the park for Hyla’s session.  But I promised Hyla that there were tricks of the trade to help it look like a beautiful day- and as you can see from the photos (except the umbrella one) the tricks worked wonders!   Thankfully she has great hair- it barely frizzed- mine however was a completely different story- good thing is wasn’t my day to be in photos.  Enjoy!

Baby Owen has arrived!

2014-06-10T19:14:39-04:00

Well Baby Owen finally arrived and what a cutie!  We had a great time trying to get owen to relax and sleep for the photos!  For a while I was really enjoying holding Owen- and suddenly I was so warm- from little Owen- his diaper had leaked.  Yes, these are the hazards of a photographer 🙂  Here’s just a little taste of Owen’s shoot.  I’ll try to add a few more soon.  This is my busy season- on to the next session!  Congratulations Kelly and Andrew!

Jake- Check out his SHOE collection- Solon ’14

2014-06-10T19:15:00-04:00

Jake was not looking forward to taking his senior pictures- most of the “guys” don’t- so that’s okay by me.  I always try to make it fun so it’s just not as painful as they might imagine.  The funny thing is- Jake was doing great- until we got close to being finished- he was getting a little “salty”.  I could shoot all day long- the ideas are always flowing through my head- but I squeezed out a few last photos and they’re awesome.   Jake even said he “liked them all”.  And for a kid who didn’t want to get his picture taken- he was really anxious to see them all!  In fact he immediately chose the camouflage one as his favorite.  I have to give props to my husband who reminded me that  Jake had quite the sneaker collection.  Here you see about 30 of his favorites- not enough laundry baskets to bring them all!  Thanks to his mom for helping to pull that off! 🙂  Thanks Jake- you did a great job!

Jeremy- Solon Senior ’14

2014-06-10T19:15:23-04:00

So Jeremy was my first shoot after having had vertigo for a few days- (the dizzies) and thankfully the pictures came out nice and sharp and straight too!  I’ve known Jeremy’s mom since high school- so I knew if things didn’t work out- at least she’d understand 🙂 We headed to the metro park and it was a gorgeous evening- though Jeremy’s mom thought it was a little humid 🙂  After the first set of shots we took a peek at the iPad and decided Jeremy needed a little hair trim- and a shave (he brought his razor)-  After a shave and hair cut we walked down to the river.  Even with the dizzies I made it down the hill and tip toed over the rocks just to get some of these great shots!  Jeremy’s sisters snuck in for a few photos too. 🙂 Love you guys! xoxo

Nick- Solon Senior ’14

2014-06-10T19:15:45-04:00

So as you might expect, like a typical guy, Nick was super excited for his senior session 😉 .  But seriously, he was such a good sport.  It was pretty toasty out and he never complained about the heat and he posed for the camera as he was told.  As we were finishing up shooting on the new football field, the trucks arrived ready to lay more little rubber pellets and we had to scoot- but we made it work!  We had one more stop before we were done and Nick’s mom was an excellent assistant as she blocked the sun for a few nature shots in front of the lake! Thanks guys! It was tons of fun 🙂

Mackenzie- Solon High School Senior- New PHOTOS added

2014-06-10T19:16:05-04:00

Well Mackenzie has been smiling for photos with Hilliary Photography for about 4 years now.  Usually I’m photographing both Mackenzie and her younger sister -but not this time.  In fact, Mackenzie even commented how strange it was to be in the studio with out her sister (how sweet is that?)  Mackenzie chose the “making memories inside and out” package and here’s a sample of her studio session.  Stay tuned for the outdoor session photos!  They’re sure to be special!

*****Outdoor shoot was a total blast! We headed downtown in search of some new scenery- and we found it! Loving this look!

Senior Session with Ryan- Solon High

2014-06-10T19:16:32-04:00

So before every session I try to send a text or chat about what to bring.  We were all set to take some pictures with the football and the helmet and the letter jacket- but wait, there was NO football.  How funny that Ryan’s mom said- “you texted me to bring the football helmet”- BUT I texted her to bring the football, helmet and jacket. 🙂   Texting isn’t always the best way to communicate but we all had a good laugh.  Who needed the football, these pictures came out great anyway!  And for a guy who wasn’t real excited to take his photos- he looks like he had a great time with that genuine smile.
