Cameron- Chagrin Falls Class of 2015

2017-01-01T17:31:11-05:00

Meet Cam from Chagrin.  So much fun as I expected since it was just one year ago that I did his brother Keith’s photos which was also a blast.  Cam is loaded with personality and it was all about those blue eyes!!    I might be putting words into their mouths if I say Cam had a great time too-  but I did confirm that it was “far less painful” than expected!  Thanks to Cam’s mom, Chrissy for serving as my assistant! xoxo   To see some of Cam’s photos click  FLIPAGRAM  for a little sneak peek!

Spokesmodel: Samantha- Solon ’15

2017-01-01T17:31:11-05:00

I don’t really use spokesmodels even though it’s standard in this industry.  However, this year my daughter Sam is a senior and so I’ve been spending a little extra time on shoots with her – after all- we both benefit!  Don’t be mistaken, she looks all smiles because we did her shoots over several different days because she and I both could only go for so long.  I can’t even imagine the price tag I would put on the amount of hours we’ve spent on these!   I’m sharing this so you understand that these photos really are “spokesmodel” photos too as they’re meant to show you a little bit about what Hilliary Photography has to offer.  Do I have a big luxurious studio? NO!  Do the pictures look like I do?  I think YES!  Sure I have limitations given the space, but we make it work!  Have a look!  Thank you to my beautiful daughter and “spokesmodel” Samantha!

Raegan- Solon High School Class of 2015

2014-07-09T19:25:27-04:00

This is Raegan- the many faces and styles of this adorable SENIOR! Wait, did I say SENIOR?  I’ve know Raegan for the last 9 years so this was really special as I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow up.  We had such a great time on our shoot this morning and the weather was just perfect.  Not only can she rock the smile but she has a great serious look as well.  Raegan is in the Solon Show Choir, AKA “MIM”.  #MIM

Make your skin picture perfect!

2014-07-02T09:46:41-04:00

While you might not ordinarily wear much makeup- picture day is not the day to skimp on coverage!  I suggest wearing mascara and lip gloss for sure and then do your best to even out your skin. On these hot summer days it’s especially difficult to avoid the shine.  I came across this new LOREAL product which really does the trick.  It’s a tad pricey, but totally worth helping you get that flawless look.  I’m not talking about caked on foundation- just smooth, silky with a matte finish. I find the best use is either under a powder if you already have flawless skin- and you can skip foundation or if  you (like most teenagers) have some uneven skin tones, use a primer and then a great foundation.  I tried the HD Makeup forever and loved it.  I’m sure there are others that are just as good.  Once you apply your foundation, the LOREAL product goes right over it and covers pores and gives a beautiful matte finish. Bring powder to your shoot for touch ups too!

Glenville’s Marshawn Lattimore Blocks Solon Kick to win the game

2014-06-10T19:11:59-04:00

Well, I set this shot up to be what I thought was our winning kick (SOLON) and instead I got a photo of this super talented young athlete MARSHAWN LATTIMORE.  I’m telling you that you’ll see him him do great things. Remember his name.  There are actually people out there saying he was lifted into the air- Look for yourself and see that his legs are straight because he’s reaching with his every last limb to block Solon’s kick.  And he did.  It was really hard to find the football in the shot and so I’ve circled it in pink!  If you’re interested, here’s more on the story.

Katie- Laurel Senior ’14

2014-06-10T19:12:25-04:00

Well I’ve been a little slow with my posts and I have a few to make up.  This post about Katie is special since I’ve know her since she was just a little girl riding around on her “wheelies” (sneakers with wheels on the bottom) and now I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful young woman.  Katie wasn’t super excited about getting her senior pictures taken- but I think when she sees them she’ll be ecstatic!  In fact, I think she kind of enjoyed our little photo session.  Katie’s mom is also a good friend of mine which made our time together even more special.  Thanks for letting me be a part of this moment in time 🙂 xoxo

Emily-SHS’14

2014-06-10T19:12:52-04:00

How fun is my job!!!!  Not only do I get to show these kids off- but I get to photograph new friends and old.  I’ve know Emily since she was in pre-school and I’ve known her mom since at least High School- and we were apartment mates in college! Fast forward 30 years (I’m showing my age)- and I’m taking pictures of her adorable daughter.  It was kind of a steamy day, but you would never know by looking at these photos!  Emily was up for anything and she didn’t disappoint!  Just look at these great shots!
